We build the analytics we wanted to use.

FocusStat comes from a small group of developers and artists based in New York. We got tired of choosing between tools that bury the answer under forty charts and tools that pay for themselves by selling what your visitors do. So we built the third option.

We use it before you do

FocusStat measures focusstat.com with the same tracker, the same dashboard and the same limits you get. Every feature ships to us first. When something is confusing at 7am with coffee, we fix it instead of documenting it.

Privacy is the default, not a setting

No cookies, no cross-site profiles, no data sold to anyone. Visitors are counted, never followed. There is a plain-language page you can link from your own privacy policy explaining exactly what we store.

Developers and artists, in one room

Analytics usually looks like a spreadsheet that resents you. We think a tool you open every day should be quick to read and pleasant to sit with, so the people who design it and the people who build it work on it together.

Small enough to answer you

Write to admin@focusstat.com and somebody who actually works on the product writes back. No ticket queue, no tier-one script. Bug reports from beta users routinely ship the same week.

What "we don't ship what we don't use" means in practice

It is easy to say and annoying to keep. It means the goal tracking on your dashboard is the same goal tracking that tells us when somebody signs up for FocusStat. It means the session replay we ask you to trust with your users is the one we watch to find our own broken forms. When a feature is not good enough for our own site, it does not get a marketing page. It gets fixed or dropped.

The same goes for what we collect. Our privacy policy is the one we had to be comfortable with as visitors of other people's sites, which is why there is no cookie banner anywhere on FocusStat and nothing to consent to.

Where we are right now

We are early and we would rather say so. FocusStat is in open beta: the first 50 accounts get every feature free, including 5 sites, 250k events a month and the AI analyst. In exchange we ask for the thing we cannot build ourselves, which is honest feedback from people running real sites. Everything we ship is written down in the changelog, and if something breaks you can watch it break on our status page.
